Hitendra Chauhan in Rishi's Bhojpuri film " Maarey Karejwa Mein Teer"

Bhojpuri Hero Hetendra Chauhan (looks like mixture of Hritik Roshan and Harmen Bwaveja) in Rishi " Maarey Karejwa Mein Teer".

A love triangle that houses Bollywood, it is only appropriate for a Bhojpuri film that shows the life of the stars to be a hit.The film shows a love triangle between a hero and two heroines. The film is a hilarious comedy which shows Hitendra Chauhan as the love of both heroines produced and directed by Rishi,Music by Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen and written by Shivanshumali (Tuntun). The other two heroines are Priya Peter and Neha Sarna of Delhi.Few questions asked about his film says Hitendra ," Its one of the finest scripts I have read, and I am a good actor, otherwise it would have been embarrassing for me to promote me as an actor. I will certainly make it big in Bhojpuri and Bollywood.Currently I am enjoying in this film.I also want to concentrate on Bollywood .Later I would love to do my own album a collection of songs .
About Hitendra Chauhan-He is sceptical and do not believe in any thing unless he is convinced about the facts. He doesn't take quick decisions unless he is sure of the results. He is very cautious and do not like to speculate. His mind is analytical and philosophic and think deeply. he has energy and ambition and develop perseverance. He is very studious and methodical but take everything seriously. He has few fiends and feel lonely in life. He is independent in thought and action and do not like to be dominated by others. His ideas about beauty and social behaviour are good.He is attracted to intelligent and clever people, but never like to interfere in their affairs. He is exceedingly ambitious and think of the highest position by right. It is remarkable that he believes that the best should be his.

Yuvraaj VS Fashion

After taking a impressive look of my movie's showreel, Associate Director Mr. Niranjan Patwardhan called me for the casting of an important role. The Narration of the character Gaurav( Manager of a event company of Arbaaz Khan) was done to me. Looking at all the parameters like Good Role, a Prominent Character through out the movie, I took up this important role to play, as they promised me that my lead Actor's image won't be on stake in my career further.

Day 1- on the sets- Personal vanity van was provided. I got good respect and treatment. Good dresses and suits by designer Narender kumar..

Scene 1- with Arbaaz Khan, one take OK. Praises on the mic for my performance by the director Madhur Bhandarkar. And there started the problem, problem of the senior artist of bollywood, problem of insecurity …

Day-2- on the sets- I was sent back to the van to change into a normal formal shirt pant from the designer suit. Reason looking better… better than senior..?

The reason stated – the demand of the character….!! (well the manager of such a big event company wears the government office clothes…!)

Day-3- on the sets- sent back to the van…..! again…? Well I wondered if I will be given some worn out vests…!!! Well nothing of that sorts this time, it was the make up this time. Make up is to be removed completely…! Reason looking better… looking younger, younger than the senior…!!

Nah, came the answer when raised a question… it was the demand of the character…!!!

Accepted sir. And delivered the performance in that condition.

Well.. well.. well… When realized nothing can hide my talent next day onwards my scenes were being edited by the director and the insecure artist. Now my name is in waiting list…Waiting in vanity van for all the days since then, till the end of this schedule.

Now comes the more complexed situation, as they book my 30 days for the shoot, that I can't give my dates to any one else without their prior permission which lead me to miss out two major stage performances due to this. I never saw any light of this schedule for another 45days.. Every night my next day was blocked and was released only by evening stating that my portion is gonna shot next day, not today. I missed out on so much of work outside and was made to sit home doing absolutely nothing, but waiting.

Well by now the news is out that the shoot is over and the movie is ready to release.

After numerous approach to Director Madhur Bhandarkar and Associate Director Niranjan Patwardhan going in vain I was left with only 2 options-

A. Chop my role (2 scenes in whole of the movie) or

B. Give me a credit in a good way. Well after all I am the solo lead actor of a movie. What if it didn't created big waves in the box office but opened up great avenues of my bright career.

But there's no way that I will allow the big established people to eclipse on my career.

MAY BE MY PAYMENTS ARE BLOCKED FOR THE DAYS I SHOT, BUT ITS NOT THE MATTER OF MONEY OR THE ROLE, IT'S A MATTER OF COMMITMENT.. FALSE PROMISES AND DOING FRAUD WITH INNOCENT YOUNG TALENT..!!

SEEMS LIKE SOMEONE FORGOT THEIR OLD DAYS OF STRUGGLE..!!

Sameer Soni's Interveiw

He is one man who shines even in a small character Whether it be Jassi, Baghbaan or Vivah, he has made his mark with his work,
With Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion, Samir Soni is now all set to hit the silver screen once again, this time for his bold move to play a gay designer without any qualms. With research as the key and the temperament to be as authentic as possible without offending or hurting any community unintentionally, Samir Soni is clear that it is his histrionics that should talk. A tete-a-tete with Samir Soni...

Why did you pick up a role that was rejected by many? More so as it was a gay character….
I am an actor and any role that comes to me and is challenging is exciting to me I loved the character that director Madhur Bhandarkar offered me. The understanding was clear. The gayness of the character would not override his personality.

How did you design the look of the character…
It was a very interesting look for my character, Rahul Arora. He would wear a mascara but would have a stubble. And we had to draw that healthy balance.

How did you play the character? Was there any particular person you looked up to for this character?
There was a lot of research that went into the role. Madhur and I attended as many fashion shows as we could in Mumbai and Delhi even during the shoot. The pre-show interaction of the designer and the models and he post-show parties were very important.
Some designers even allowed us to be there in the rehearsals to see the relationship between the model and the designer. Madhur is a stickler for accuracy and that was important. Even during the shoot, leading ramp choreographers and models -- someone or the other was always there Every detail was taken care of. Authenticity was the focus. We do not want to offend anyone.

Would the designers be themselves when they knew that you were looking for cues to play one of them?
Well we were quite discreet and never let anyone know that we were observing and later would exchange notes on how to shape the character.

What was exciting about playing a gay designer?
It was exciting on several levels. Firstly I had never played such character before and I don’t think anyone would expect me to play it. Also, the charectar was so beautifully etched out that it would be any actor’s dream. But most importantly, the challenge of playing a gay designer convincingly, without stereo typing it and hoping the masses accept him and see beyond his sexual orientation. For the latter I was lucky to have Madhur guidind me and at the same time giving me the space to experiment.
He was a designer and just that his sexual orientation happened to be different. I have friends who are gay and thy talk of their boyfriends the same way I would talk about a girlfriend. There is nothing different about them otherwise. Mean, there are gays that you don’t know are gays unless you were told. It was the essence of the character that was exciting And you can say that I got more than my share of compliments from the females and the males.

How was it working with Priyanka?
To quote her she’s “over worked and under-paid”. Jokes aside she’s a fine actor and a very sensitive girl. Though, most of the film I kept my distance, firstly because I’m comfortable with that and secondly because I thought it would help our scenes, since my charectar is this successful fashion designer and she an up coming model. I wanted to make that equation on screen come out strong. Whenever I saw her I wanted to see a struggling model and the successful actress that she is.

You are perceived as snobbish due to your introvertedness?
Yes I am an introvert and that’s the way I have always been since childhood. From time to time I do make the effort to be more outgoing and friendly but find it too exhausting and just cant sustain it, more so at work. I keep a lot to myself during shoots unless the scene requires otherwise. Sometimes people do misunderstand that but unfortunately I can’t help it. Also, I’d rather conserve my energy and give a hundred percent to my work. I find it difficult to live with myself if I’m unable to give it all whether it’s a film, a play or a 30 second add.

How was it working with Madhur Bhandarkar?
Madhur is the warmest nicest guy I have met as a director. I have never met a director who is so hassle free and easy going, always open for suggestions. And I have never seen him stressed or shout or anything on the set. He never says pack up. He says vande mataram. That is his sign off statement.

What next?
There is Sanjay Gupta’s Alibaug and an Englsh art house film My Friend Dragonman. But for now, I am awaiting Fashion. I think I have done a good job in this film and the critic in me agrees too!
