Pehli Mulaqat is Saregama India Ltd’s one of the most ambitious projects ever. The “Rock on Star”, Esbee the youngest singer to start singing Rabindranath Sangeet, saw his life flash before him in two-and-a-half hours while watching Farhan Akhtar’s latest flick- Rock On. Esbee is one of those few fortunate artists who get there dues eventually similar to the character of Farhan Akhtar in “Rock On”.Currently, a global media director at a multi national firm, he saw himself living the emotions enacted by Farhan in the movie. Convinced of the need to return to his first love, Mr. Rock On became determined to relive his dreams as an aspiring singer. In 1989 Sital Banerjee was crowned the best singer at the finals of the All India Kishore Kumar Memorial Music Competition at Delhi’s Siri Fort auditorium.
The music industry at one time had rejected his aspiration to be a singer. And today after almost a decade Saregama India limited has given this ambitious artist the pleasure of releasing his own album named Pehli Mulaqat. The album is dedicated to none other than the legendary singer Kishore Kumar with a modern arrangement.
The album comprises of evergreen classic tracks like Nahin Nahin Abhi Nahin, Dream Girl and the impeccable Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si, giving the listeners a divine feel. Sital Banerjee has sung each song with different feelings and emotions catering to the lyrics and mood of the songs making it a blissful experience.
The album has tracks catering to every age group a conscious effort by Saregama India Limited.
