First screening of the movie for Cinemax Dostana Contest winners -
Mumbai, November 13th, 2008: Keeping in tune with the entertainment needs of their patrons, CINEMAX, the entertainment hub of the city, hosted the first screening of the much awaited movie 'Dostana' at their Versova property. With their esteemed guest list comprising of patrons across cities with Cinemax properties, the leading multiplex chain showcased this movie for the very first time, especially for their dedicated audiences! Adding on to the excitement and glamour, the movie's star cast – Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra and Bobby Deol stepped in at the luxurious property!
With their patrons eagerly waiting to feast their eyes on this upcoming venture by Dharma Productions, Cinemax held a very interactive and exciting contest for their audience. Aptly named, 'Cinemax Dostana Contest', the contest was based on trivia questions on the movie and one general question. Hosted across 21 properties, the multiplex chain got an overwhelming response from all the properties and selected two – three lucky winners from the hoard of 'Cinema'x lovers!
These elegant stars set the shutter bugs flashing as they interacted with the fans in the famed Red Lounge. Talking about this upcoming venture at length, the celebrities seemed very keen to get 'first-hand' reviews of their movie from the Cinemax patrons!
Speaking on the contest, Mr. Devang Sampat, Sr.Vice President, CINEMAX India Ltd, said, "Understanding the need of our patrons spread nationwide, we hosted the 'Cinemax Dostana Contest' across 21 of our properties and were appalled by the sheer response from cinema viewers. It was indeed a difficult task to select a batch of 100 winners from the remarkable response that we received. We hope these truly deserving patrons enjoy the first viewing of the upcoming flick – Dostana with the cast themselves and trust its an absolute 'dream-come-true' experience for them.
About 'DOSTANA'
'DOSTANA' is a youth – oriented film. Its all happening in the Beach Party Capitol of the world Miami when Sameer (Abhishek Bachchan) and Kunal ( John Abraham) are turned down for an apartment because the land lady doesn't want two strapping young man to corrupt her young sexy niece Neha (Priyanka Chopra) they go to plan 'G' –they pretend to be 'Gay' to secure the apartment.
All this is well till they meet the sexy siren Neha and thus begins the journey of fun frolic and a test of friendship like never before. Abhimanyu (Bobby Deol) is playing a very special role as the third contender for Neha and her boss.
